'Celebrating Women in Astronomy'

As part of the A&G Ordinary meeting on 13 February 2004, Professor Jocelyn Bell Burnell will give the 2004 Presidential Address 'Celebrating Women in Astronomy'. This will be followed by a reception and exhibition in Burlington House, celebrating the contribution of women in astronomy. 'Astronomy' includes 'geophysics', i.e. astronomy, astroparticle physics, solar-terrestrial physics, astrobiology, planetary sciences, history of science, etc. The exhibition will cover both historical and contemporary women. The 'A' Secretary (and Chair of CWiAG) is collecting information from women with a connection to the RAS (see below for more information).
