Spectroscopy is a tool that may be applied to help provide solutions to challenges that face the World today and in the future.

The RAL Spectroscopy Group works with academic, research council, governmental and industrial partners to provide technological solutions, experimental facilities, knowledge and skills to address challenges in the areas of;

  • environment,
  • security
  • and healthcare.

The Group has strong collaborative ties with UK and overseas universities and provides training opportunities for postgraduates through CASE studentships.
